The City of Linden Building Department oversees construction within the City limits to make certain that all structures are in compliance with the State Construction Code Act, The State of Michigan Building Code and City of Linden Ordinances. Building codes seek to ensure public safety, health and welfare by governing the construction and maintenance of structures. The Department is responsible for issuing building permits and the provision of inspection services related to these permits.

CODE ENFORCEMENT DESCRIPTION

The Code Enforcer works with residents to resolve any concerns or issues that need to be addressed. The mission of Code Enforcement is to protect the welfare of City of Linden residents by promoting safe, healthy and sanitary housing through enforcement of property maintenance, zoning and nuisance. Code Enforcement further benefits the community by protecting property values through the elimination of blight such as trash, vacant structures, dilapidated buildings, junk cars and tall grass.
