The City of Linden is seeking application from those interested in serving on a Board, Commission, or Committee. If you are interested, please submit your application at Linden City Hall located at 132 E. Broad Street, by mail to P.O. Box 507 Linden. The City is currently looking for volunteers to join the Road Committee, the Library Board, the Dog Park Committee, and the Cemetery Committee. 

Library Board:

This is an appointed office. The Board meets on the first Thursday of April, June, September, and December, unless otherwise postedf. This board works with the Librarian of the Linden Branch of the Genesee District Library. They also conduct events to promote use of the Library.We are looking for a Linden resident to join the Committee, provide input and feedback, and attending meetings when scheduled. 

Historic District Commission: Meets the third Wednesday, of each month at 7:00 p.m. This Commission reviews all plans for development or change of occupancy related requests in the designated Historic District. The Commission also facilitates grant programs and sponsors activities that promote historic preservation in our community.

GCMA: Members of the GCMA include representatives from each local jurisdictions, Genesee County Road Commission, Federal Highway Administration, Genesee County Metropolitan Planning Commission, Michigan Department of Transportation, Mass Transportation Authority, and the Genesee County Drain Commission. GCMA is the policy body responsible for decision making concerning surface transportation in Genesee County. Their duties include the review and endorsement of transportation planning issues, and federal aid projects and their funding. The decisions made by GCMA have a direct impact on roadway, mass transit and non-motorized issues within the county. GCMA meets the third Wednesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. in the County Administration Building.
